It is something that anime would never fail, bringing characters with different hair colors. There are some with dark hair colors and some with bright hair colors.
We are all aware that anime never disappoints when it comes to that. There are some things that we miss out on when it comes to the hair colors of our lovely characters.
Yes, colors are cool and draw the attention of the audience, but those colors also have some deeper meanings. It is also amazing how hair colors make our characters outstanding and noticeable. In most anime series, orange hair is given to characters who are full of energy, energetically wilful, and determined.
Without wasting much of your time, fellas, let’s dig into today’s list of orange-haired anime characters. I might have left out some orange-haired characters, so I leave the assignment for you. Don’t forget to let me know your favorite orange-haired character in the comment section below.
1. Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach)
Are you looking for a hard-headed, orange-haired character who pretends to be cool and calm? Well, I have Ichigo from the series by the name Bleach. Some other people mock him because of his hair color, which is spiky orange.
He is just a high school student with a lot on his plate as he has to balance both his physical and spiritual life. Things were difficult because he tried his best to understand others, but do they understand him? He had to work hard at school for his colleagues and teachers to not underrate him.
Ichigo is a happy and optimistic person despite his appearance, which speaks otherwise. His Soul Reaper powers did not originally belong to him; he got them from Rukia Kuchiki, who eventually lost her powers.
Ichigo was now responsible for protecting her and his family from the Hollows. He even started to cast away those evil spirits. Ichigo is ruthless regarding his opponents when it’s about fighting.
He is a surprise attack fan because he doesn’t warn his opponents when he wants to attack. This character just doesn’t let his opponents go freelance until he takes his revenge and makes them pay for their deeds. How can I forget about his appearance? He is a tall boy who usually puts on a mask.
His fighting strategies always work in his favor, and he will always win in a genuine way, which gives him honor. This character also has a tendency to belittle his enemies and provoke them with insulting remarks. Grab your copy of Bleach today and enjoy.
2. Emma (The Promised Neverland)
This female character has some usual and not typical powers and learning skills that enable her to get the best grades. The whole series of The Promised Neverland revolves around her discoveries. Despite being an orphan, she cared about other orphans as well; this is depicted in how she is concerned about Conny’s stuffed bunny.
The series took a twist when Emma went to the departure site with Norman’s company. This is when Emma got to know the dark truth concerning the orphanage. What do you think is the truth behind the orphanage?
3. Nami (One Piece)
This character, Nami, is from an anime and manga series named One Piece. She is very popular and seems well-known for leading a group of pirates.
She is an orange-haired female character willing to take risks or try new methods, ideas, or experiences. This goes well with his character as the Straw Hat Pirates leader.
She has a passionate and quick-tempered nature. If you are looking for a loyal friend, she is also a very important member of her crew. Her bright orange hair is usually styled in a short bob.
Nami is also smart and also knows how to manipulate others to get what she wants. She has outstanding skills when it comes to navigating the shop.
4. Kyo Sohma (Fruits Basket)
He is one of the characters that are quick to anger, often using cutting, harsh, or critical language. Kyo is rude, determined to do what they want, and unwilling to change their mind.
He is a caring character, but he finds himself shouting at people he cares about. Kyo attracts, influences, and inspires people by their personal qualities.
He is also the kind of person who is very quick to express his emotions, especially anger and love. He grew up emotionally unstable because he was just selected and discriminated against because of the spirit that possessed him.
Despite him growing up emotionally damaged, he finally got his feelings and expressions under control. This was through the help of Tohru, who came to him with a different perspective from what others thought of Kyo.
5. Pain/Nagato
This guy is one character who never shies from fighting their toughest and strongest enemies. He even went up to the extent of challenging the strong Akatsuki members.
Nagato strongly believes and trusts his skills and capabilities, so nothing can pull him back. Nagato, also known as Pain in the anime series Naruto, has straight orange hair and pale skin. He is also a great character who is not selfish but thinks about other people and their needs before himself.
The suffering and damage he got from the human tragedy haunt him, and his objective and main focus is to create a world that has no war. He wants a civilized war, which seems to be a mission impossible. He is a nominal leader from the Uzumaki clan without real leadership powers.
6. Orihime Inoue (Bleach)
She is one of the characters who readily feels or shows fondness or tenderness. Orihime is also kind-hearted; she is the kind of person who cares about her friends and is ready to do anything to protect them.
This girl is also one of Ichigo’s friends in the series Bleach. His brother raised her, and they ran away from their house because of their mother’s behavior.
Orihime’s mother was a prostitute, and it affected the lives of both children, Orihime and her brother. Despite being a complete human, she had a magical hair clip. This girl also waits for things to happen themselves; she doesn’t make things happen.
7. Himura Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin)
Some find it weird for a man to be tying a ponytail. This was Homura Kenshin’s style of tying his reddish-orange hair. Despite how he grew up, he is composed and a person of self-assured manners. Himura grew up a person who was kinda reckless because he did not deeply consider his decisions before acting.
His desires mostly pushed his actions. This guy spent a decade moving around Japan as a lordless samurai to seek compensation for the wrongs done before. He is a well-known human killer of the Meji Revolution.
This guy vowed not to kill again. Do you think it’s possible with his sword? Don’t forget to let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
8. Misty (Pokémon)
This is one of those anime tomboys, and she doesn’t care about her appearance. Forgetting why she followed Ash, she went with him through Kanto, Johto, and the Orange Archipelago.
The reason behind this was for her to upgrade and professionalize her abilities so that she could be a Master of Water-type Pokemon. She came to Cerulean Gym in order to act in her sisters’ place as a leader since the sisters were traveling.
In the first place, her objective was to follow Ash till he repeated or compensated her for the bicycle that Pikachu broke.
9. Asuna (Sword Art Online)
She is one of the best fighter characters and more like the face of the anime Sword Art Online. Asuna is vibrant and a character full of energy. The anime Sword Art Online mostly revolves around the character Asuna; this anime would be incomplete without this character.
Unfortunately, our lovely, long, orange-brownish-haired character suddenly got into trouble. This can disturb your enjoyment of some of the episodes.
She possesses cute hazel eyes, and after becoming a member of Knights of the Blood, she puts on a red and white uniform. Grab your copy of Sword Art Online and enjoy the amazing character Asuna.
10. Emiya Shirou (Fate/Stay Night)
This character is one of the most optimistic and vibrant orange-haired. He has a dark past that still haunts him, and as a result, it changes his personality.
Emiya Shirou used to be a very happy kid, like any other kid you know, till this unfortunate incident took place in his life. It’s still amazing how he has a great goal that seems to be impossible, wrapped in his traumatizing life.
He is passionate and strongly desires to become a justice hero. Do you think this is related to whatever happened to his life? Despite facing many challenges in making his dream come true, he is not shaken and remains focused.
Emiya Shirou seems to have a big heart, as shown by how he helps people despite disliking them. He is someone who can’t say no as long as he can put in a helping hand. However, this brings him problems most of the time and hinders his way toward his goal of becoming a hero of justice.
11. Junichiro Tanizaki (Bungo Stray Dogs)
Despite not being as willful and determined as his fellow members, he quickly adapts to different situations. According to his work, he is capable of switching, and this is the best skill ever.
Junichiro Tanizaki is from the series Bungo Stray Dogs; he is good at going with the flow. He is also one of our supportive orange-haired characters, as he is useful to his fellow agents.
12. Chuya Nakahara (Bungo Stray Dogs)
This is one of those characters who are full of themselves and enjoy blowing their trumpet. Despite his prideful nature, he is someone who always supports what’s right, and he can’t tolerate ill manners.
Daze, his old partner, always makes a point against him when it comes to his pride. Chuya Nakahara is the one who takes on the most dangerous tasks because he is good at switching moods.
This character is bold, without shame, arrogantly superior, and disdainful, making him a great Port Mafia member. Grab your copy of Bungo Stray Dogs and enjoy this amazing orange-haired character.
13. Rena Ryuugu (Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni)
I feel like orange hair goes very well with lively, cheerful characters who talk a lot. That’s Rena Ryuugu; she has bright orange hair that matches her energy.
She has a multifaceted personality and exhibits a range of behaviors and emotions that may seem contradictory or difficult to reconcile. Rena is also someone who doesn’t divulge too much personal information.
The reason behind all this, and she seems to be still in trauma, is her dark past. This girl is fond of accumulating very pretty or attractive stuff for herself. All in all, she is lovable and inspiring affection, her orange hair adding the flavor.
14. Nishiki Nishio
Nishiki Nishio is one of those ghouls who knows how to blend very well with humans without anyone suspecting it. He even went to the extent of getting a human girlfriend by the name of Nishino Kimi.
I like how he dresses up like a human with orange hair. Despite not trusting others, he is very loyal, especially to Nishino; he can be trusted. Nishio is at the same university as the leading character of the series Tokyo Ghoul.
He started getting along with Ken Kaneki, the leading character and became partners with him as he joined Ken’s group. Ken is constantly in an effort to accomplish his studies; he is attentive and persistent in doing anything. However, he is someone who doesn’t care about other people’s feelings at all.
15. Sora Takenouchi (Digimon)
At some point, the parents of our characters are against what the characters love to do most. In the case of Sora, since she was a tomboy, she loved soccer despite her mother not liking it.
Her mother wanted her to focus on floral art, which is something girlish, but Sora did not want that. Sora’s father was barely around; he was absent most of the time, and her mother was so strict and wanted her to quit soccer.
However, with Biyomon’s help, Sora got to be in good books with her mom. Biyomon was Sora’s Digimon partner; if you don’t get it, forget it.
16. Nobara Kugisaki (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Are you looking for fun characters that will make your day? There is no doubt that Nobars Kugisaki from the anime series Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the anime’s fun characters.
Her appearance is something explaining won’t be enough for you. She is someone who shops compulsively and who may feel like they have no control over their behavior.
She is also energetically wilful and determined, especially when attacking her enemies. This girl has attacking skills that are beyond anyone’s imagination and will leave you shocked.
She wears her school uniform well but never forgets about her signature belt. Her signature belt is brown, and it’s the one that holds her jujutsu tools.
Did you notice her black sports stockings? Grab your copy of Jujutsu Kaisen today and enjoy this fun character. There is also no debate regarding her being one of the Jujutsu Kaisen’s best characters. Her looks were just astonishing; she had bangs that would cover her forehead with orange eyes.
17. Gildarts Clive
He is one of the characters I failed to understand at first, and I had to re-watch the series. Gildarts Clive is a great magician who is unpredictable and has hope in the new generation.
It tends to break through the wall as if the doors are malfunctioning. It’s rare to hear of such great mages not being able to fight. How can I forget about his appearance? Wow, this guy is muscular and tall. This character is the father of Cana Alberona, but he is not aware of it since his ex-wife gave birth to the child after the divorce.
To make matters worse, the wife passed away; she is no more. Do you think Gildarts will eventually know the truth? What do you think? Don’t forget to share your opinions and thoughts with me in the comment section below.
18. Asuka Langley Soryu (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
This character is an anime character who strongly believes and trusts in themselves. She has received much audience attention and is scornful and arrogant to the people surrounding her.
Asuka Langley has or shows a high or excessively high opinion of herself or her self-importance. What I like most about her is that she depends on herself; she doesn’t need anyone’s opinion or approval.
Despite her father not being recognized, she is a daughter to Kyoki Langley Zeppelin. Asuka finished university at the age of fourteen, and she grew up in Germany.
19. Escanor (Seven Deadly Sins)
There is something different about this character that I had never imagined in the anime world. Escanor, the strongest and most powerful amongst the people in Britannia, had some special powers.
These powers were magical; they kept him strong during the day and became weak as the sun went down. He was undefeated, especially at noon; he could surpass Meliodas at his peak.
20. Mito Freecss (Hunter X Hunter)
This character is not the biological mother of young Gon Freecss but his adoptive mother. It is not easy to raise an adopted child, but Mito Freecss did everything in her power to raise the child.
She also remained by his side even when he thought of leaving in search of his father. This character is in the anime Hunter X Hunter.
21. Loke (Fairy Tale)
Are you aware of celestial spirits in the anime world? Loke is one; he is a magical being from their own separate universe, living amongst the living. The only reason why he is amongst the living is because he wants to protect himself on earth.
He is a caring person, and he can’t turn a blind eye to people who abuse women. He behaves towards women in a way that suggests he is sexually attracted to them, usually in a playful or not very serious way. Loke is also hopeful about the future or the success of something. This character is always happy and relaxed, no matter the situation.
22. Rangiku Matsumoto (Bleach)
She is one of the characters who takes advantage of their physical appearance to put their tactics in place. She is a character from the anime series Bleach who is famous because of her big boobs.
Due to her too much love for alcohol, she ends up not doing his duties on time. However, she is so good at using her boobs if they mean to be used for her to get what she wants. She shares some romantic connection with her old friend Gin, and it seems like it is from both sides it is felt and returned.
23. Kaoru Hitachiin (Ouran High School Host Club)
This is the last item on today’s list, and we all have noticed that there are different shades of orange. We also have realized that with different shades, there’s also a difference in personalities.
The last character on our list is Karou, a Hitachiin twin. His twin is Hikaru, who is younger than Hikaru but behaves more maturely than Hikaru.
There is something that I don’t understand about these two: when Karou is away from Hikaru, his personality changes. He becomes more composed and mature and is not selfish; he tends to care so much about others.
The problem comes when Hikaru is around, and he becomes the total opposite of himself. These two identical twin brothers both have the same hair color, which is dull-orange.
