I assume that if this title has attracted your attention, you probably know something about Redo of the Healer. However, if you have been living under a rock and are clueless, don’t worry; I will briefly summarize what it is about.
The plot unfolds the life of Keyaru, who possesses heroic powers and has to live a glorious life. Regardless of his powers, it wasn’t all easy because a terrible punishment was waiting for him.
There was no way of escape, but luckily, his gift of healing sustained him and kept him going. The core theme of this series is revenge, as you are going to see how determined he was to get back to his rivals.
The dark aura of this anime has made many fans enthusiastic about it, and if you love it too, I have good news for you. Redo of the Healer is not the only series that gives off the same vibes.
I have a list that l have compiled for you that is going to give you a nostalgic feeling like you are watching a Redo of the healer all over again. Packed with a lot of magic, vengeance, chaos, and a gothic theme, there is nothing more you would wish for that I am not going to give you.
Some of them will include some adult content because we can’t predict how revenge comes about. Grab yourself a snack and follow me as l give you some of the best anime series you wish you had known before.
1. Shinmai Maou no Testament BURST (The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST)
As l have mentioned before, there is going to be some series with sex, and this is one of them. The narrative develops from the life of the main character, Basara, who has devilish step sisters.
There is a strong sense of determination to protect his sisters that we simply cannot ignore. Everything takes place on Earth in episode one, but as we proceed to burst, there is a drastic change in the setting.
The story’s flow doesn’t change, but everything is now happening in the satanic realm. For Basara to showcase his power, he needed to be sexually satisfied. If l am to pass my honest judgment, l would say that the producers didn’t do justice when it comes to the plot.
A lot of events are unfolding at once, and the story is told in chunks that do not flow smoothly. This caused the whole show to be chaotic, especially if your concentration was a bit poor; you’d be lost.
For a hentai series, they did well with the sex scenes because there are many of them. Adding the icing to the cake, the fluids and sounds just make it perfect. This is definitely a must-watch.
2. Goblin Slayer
I don’t know if you saw this when it was first published as a novel or when it was adapted into manga. The anime version of it is what we are going to be talking about today. The plot unveils a world swarmed with magic, monsters, and goblins.
People underrated their threat, but things got tense when they started invading villages and kidnapping women from all parts of the world. One young priestess got concerned and wanted to learn more about why this was happening to her people.
She and other investigators set out to look into the matter but were not ready for the battle that awaited them. They, too, got seized and got trapped in a cave.
The priestess was the only one alive after the mysterious goblin slayer saved her. He was also eager to kill all these goblins troubling innocent people. They joined forces and went on a quest to destroy the border that secluded the goblins from any threat.
It is a full series with 12 episodes that you would want to skip any of them. Are you looking for thrilling action, adventure, dark fantasy, and blood murder? This is perfect for you.
The war between goblins and those who sought to fight for the humans seemed to never end. You cannot skip this for anything, and it’s my favorite on this list.
3. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
Most of the enthusiasts for this genre have placed this series second to Redo of the Healer itself. I wonder what your rating will be after watching it.
What made it grab the attention of fans was how it displayed the vexed, unethical things the characters were doing. Also, the controversial ecchi moments are to die for, and I am sure you are having flashbacks now.
The story tells of a good-for-nothing man named Mushoku Tensei, a NEET who led an empty life, but things are about to quickly change for him. He soon finds himself in a new dreamy world where he now possesses magical powers.
It was a perfect blend of thriving magic in a dark world where the interesting and hypocritical protagonist was. With these events unfolding, you can’t afford to miss this.
4. Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan
Even though this story is not as dirty as that from Redo of the Healer, there are pieces of it that will take you aback. The protagonist, Peter, plans to keep a low profile and ensure no one knows about him. I can’t fathom how he planned on doing this even after being crowned the world’s strongest person.
Sadly for him, everything happened in the opposite direction; the news spread as fast as the wind, and in no time, everyone knew he was. Because it’s anime, and you know the vibe, different women started to chase him.
They all came from different ethnicities, but all craved to carry their child. You must spare some time to see how this story unfolded. Do you think it affected Peter that this was all happening against his will? You know there is only one way to find out.
5. Fate/Zero
This is not the regular series that you are probably most familiar with. You might not want to watch this while doing other things because you will miss out on a lot.
There is a lot to unpack here that will need you to concentrate. Everything that has to do with darkness is surely to be expected here. The dark plot is as intense as other series, but you will surely see our beloved characters being affected.
The connection between Fate Zero and Redo of the healer might be deeper than meets the eye. After watching the series, You will only understand what I’m saying. Go ahead and watch it.
6. Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai (Seven Mortal Sins)
I hope you won’t be shocked to see that this anime is packed with a lot of sex. I have given you a warning before. Nanatsu no Taizai is more popular than this one, where you will see Elizabeth being roughly fucked.
Well, even with all the sexual assault in that series, it doesn’t even come close to this one. The fallen angel, commonly known as the devil, meets the Leviathan. He was extremely ambitious about becoming the demon lord. Their main goal was to spread a lot of vile sexuality, if you haven’t guessed that already.
With all that is freaking going on, they did not even care enough to censor the content. A lot of big boobs scenes were zoomed in to get you a clear picture. They show several positions you would want to try after lol.
Because these evil characters are not the ones to shy away and maintain some dignity, it is quite normal to be seeing a lot of nudity. The series is as explicit as it can get, and absolutely nothing is left for imagination. If you enjoy this type of content, then why wait? Get to it.
7. Elfen Lied
If you are looking forward to a gripping story, then this is definitely for you. It’s a world that has new inhabitants that have never existed before showing up. Isn’t it scary to see a new species you don’t even have an idea of?
The unknown creatures known as the Diclonius are beginning to be common amongst humans, but they are not taking this in a good way. In other words, I would safely say people didn’t want them to continue multiplying.
Lucy was the first Diclonius to show up, and what happened to her in the hands of people was just sad. I’m sure she wondered if she could have stayed wherever she was.
The unique abilities of the Diclonius posed a threat to the people. They abused her and locked her up. People wanted to use her for experiments, making her life miserable.
She suffered a terrible head injury, which made her change her whole personality. Lucy became two people in one body. During this whole saga, she meets Yuka and Kouta, and they become victims of her terrible life problems.
Luckily, she freed herself from where she was trapped and was determined to get back at everyone who had made her life terrible. All who had been abused were her targets that she would mercilessly murder. The only problem she had was that at any time, any side of her could show up, and she quickly forgot things because of the head injury.
You might be asking yourself where the concept of darkness comes in. But if you see the clear themes of violence posed on Lucy and the way she was hungry for revenge, doesn’t it take you back to the redo of the healer? This is not a series you would want to miss because this is perfection to me.
8. Claymore
Are you aware that Claymore is one of the anime series mostly close to or more like Redo of the Healer? It is the home of revenge and darkness. The story revolves around Claymores, who are half you and half human. So, the main focus will be on the Claymore known as Clare and Raki.
Youmas are known to be human flesh eaters, and Clare hated them for this. She was the biggest hater of all the Claymores and would never rest until she got her revenge for what they had done to her.
The way she gets to her desired goal is quite phenomenal. I would have loved to get your gist, but I don’t feel like spoiling the fun of you finding out. Grab something to snack on and watch this as soon as you can.
9. Prison School
Look at the title and tell me what came to your mind. Yes, Prison School is what the name implies. The plot is set at Hachimitsu Private Academy, a girls’ school, all the while.
The rules had just been twisted, and now boys can also enroll. Only five boys wanted to come, and they did. So now you can only imagine how packed the school was with female students compared to boys.
The boys that had just gotten admitted are sex freaks. I don’t know if you have seen that coming. They developed this habit of sneaking around girls’ showrooms so that they could see them naked while bathing.
The boys were sadly or happily caught. I don’t know how you are gonna look at it, lol. As the name suggests, the student caught them red-handed, and the punishment was to be imprisoned for one full month. The fact that it’s the male student with perverse intentions makes you look at this whole thing differently.
It is one of the series that shows a lot of different fantasies viewers have, for example, foot fetish, sadism, and masochism. New right? I know. The school girls got turned on by using these guys for their sexual pleasure.
Don’t expect any kind of resistance from the guys because, from the looks of things, they were also enjoying it. If you are a fanatic of nasty stuff, there is no reason not to watch this anime because it is a haven for that.
10. Rising Of The Shield Hero
Let me give you one of this list’s most enticing anime series. The narrative explores the story of Naofumi. He was one of the four heroes called to safeguard the Melromarc from the waves suddenly becoming a threat.
Amongst all of the soldiers, it was only Naofumi who was given a shield that looked useless. I don’t think that was fair, considering all the other three had been given the proper combat weapons. This discrimination only made people not take Naofumi seriously.
As if this was not bad enough, the Princess lied to him that he had not treated her well. Now, everyone was isolating him and disgracing him. Would you make it out alive in a situation like this? Amidst this lonely, sad path, he met Raphtalia, who was just a slave who trusted that he wasn’t as bad as people wanted him to look.
So, together, they join forces in an attempt to fight against the waves. At first, people mocked them and felt like they were being crazy, but soon enough, they joined the two of them.
They now saw the light and hope in their actions and were willing to provide support. Isn’t that what people usually do: look at you like you are insane when you start to do something they are afraid to do?
Everyone else joined in an attempt to defend their future and kingdom. Suppose it wasn’t because of the undying determination of Raphatalia and Naofumi. Check this out; who knows if it will encourage you to do something you are reluctant to do now?
11. Erased
Coming up with another banger. This story follows the life of Satoru Fujinuma, who was almost 30 years of age. When something terrible happens, he finds himself able to go back to the old days.
Something you would call time traveling. His mother was killed following her attempt to report a murderer. After this tragedy occurred, he suddenly found himself in his ten-year-old body. He had traveled back in time for 18 years.
Fortunately, he was able to recall everything that had happened and the murderers who led to his mother’s death. With all this information, he is determined to change the previous outcome.
This time, he would do everything to ensure his mother lived. This is definitely a must-watch, and you know what I mean when I tell you this. It’s your loss to miss it.
12. GATE
What more would you ask for when you get a replica of Redo of the Healer spiced up with some isekai moments? The plot talks about a strange happening in Tokyo. A gate to a new unknown suddenly appears, which gives divine creatures a freeway to occupy the earth.
This wasn’t good news for the human race because they were being preyed upon. Youji Itami the brave Japan self defense officer rose with might to protect his people. We need more people like him.
The gates had been open for three months, and then Youji and his fellow went through the gates to a realm called the special region. The plan was to come to peaceful terms with the residents of the special realm.
They wanted the pointless fighting to end. The people from both worlds had to be protected because this war was doing nothing but causing unnecessary harm. I don’t know what will happen if you aren’t tempted to watch the series with this brief summary. Get yourself a copy.
13. Made In Abyss
How could this list be complete if l don’t talk about this series? Riko is where the main focus is. She came from the town of Orth and had lost all her parents.
Her biggest dream was to become like her late mother, an explorer of bravery. She was so good at cave raiding, but unfortunately, she just disappeared into the treacherous Abyss.
Suppose you were strong enough to explore the Abyss; you had to be ready to face every bad thing that came along with it. It was full of historical things, ghosts, threats, and unknown creatures. Only the fittest would survive.
Despite all these dangers being well known to people, she still wanted to go down that path. She really wanted to know what was down there, and maybe she could meet her mother again. The whole series is thrilling, with a gripping story that will make you feel like you are walking in her shoes.
With every mystery she uncovered within the Abyss, she kept going despite being challenged by all the forces against her. The series will open your eyes to a world full of threats and wonder.
All of this centers around the hunger Riko had to reach her goal. To find her mother. The curses of the Abyss and whatever dangers unforeseen to her were not enough to make her give up. Be like Riko, and if you can’t follow her journey with her, watch this series.
14. The Testament of New Sister Devil (6.72)
I will round off the list with this one. Just because it’s last doesn’t mean it’s not a masterpiece. Basara Toujou is the main character who faces a very complicated life.
He was solely responsible for making sure that no harm reached his demonic sisters, Maria Naruse and Mio. They had to be protected because all the other demonic beings were after their life. Their main interest was to milk Mio’s powers to their advantage.
It even got more difficult for him when political chaos was stirred up in the demonic world. He was called up to their realm for God knows what.
Considering that these were his enemies, this already feels scary. But he can’t back down now, can he? Basara’s only option was to be bold and face them. Will he be successful? Let’s find out.
